Did you know today is National Donut Day?! It's always the first Friday in June! Created by the Salvation Army in 1938, in honor of the women who served donuts to the soldiers during WWI. The goal was to help the needy during the Great Depression and honor those women.
We are off to the beach this weekend and one of the most famous donut hot spots is the Fractured Prune! They have every donut imaginable. Some of their specialty donuts include Banana Nut Bread, Chocolate Covered Cherry, Creamsicle, French Toast, Lemonade, Reese Cup, Peppermint Patty, Rolo, Strawberry Shortcake, Trail Mix, and Sundae! I'm not a huge donut fan, but I love the Carnival ones (the colored sprinkle ones!). If you are a donut fan, you must try these!!!
