When life gives you LEMONS...

Make LEMON WATER!

I recently have been adding lemon to my water (due to a little summer cold), and boy am I getting in lots of water on these hot, humid days!  But I didn't know the real benefit I was getting I looked into it a little bit more after worrying that I might be damaging the enamel of my teeth.

Boy was I wrong!  I am not harming my teeth at all.  In fact, I'm (hopefully) becoming healthier!

Apparently, lemon water can help clear your skin up by getting rid of all the toxins!  WOO HOO!  I always look for any way to make sure I have clear skin, and how inexpensive is this compared to all those creams?!

Mixed with hot water, lemons are said to help aid in digestive problems such as nausea, heartburn, constipation, and parasites.  It has even been known to help rid those pesky hiccups and may help dissolve gallstones!

With all of it's Vitamin C, lemon water may help in wound healing, treating infections, and relieving symptoms of allergies and sore throats (I can tell you that's true after this week!).

Do yourself a favor, grab a lemon, roll it around (to get the juices in the center) and slice up in your water for a little extra taste and benefits to your health!

  1. Ever since having kidney stones for the first time last summer I have been the biggest fan of lemon water. I even put a cup of it by my beside and sip it when I awaken at night. There are so many benefits that you have names in your posting.

  2. I am addicted to lemon water and have been for years. Actually, I ate straight lemons when I was younger and have no enamel on my teeth at all. My dentist says I really need to get veneers on my teeth and he does not understand how I can eat anything cold. So, no more eating lemons and I resorted to lemon water. You just learned a weird fact about me today. ;)
