Doggie Party

Super Bowl parties aren't just for the humans.  Baxter was able to have a "play date" with his friend, Sampson on Super Bowl Sunday!  I'm not sure who was more excited, the pups or me, as they entertained each other and wore each other out just in time for the game to start!

Because they were so good and I was making "treats" for the party I was going to, I only felt it was fair to let them have some goodies too, so homemade treats it was!  I even let them eat the "cookie dough" while we were baking!

Ingredients
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 Tbsp baking powder
1 cup natural peanut butter
1 cup low fat milk

Directions
1.  Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  Grease 2 baking sheets and put to the side.
2.  Combine peanut butter and milk in mixing bowl.
3.  Add dry ingredients and beat well.
4.  On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough, and cut shapes with cookie cutter.
5.  Place on prepared baking sheets and bake for about 20 minutes.
6.  Allow to cool on wire rack.

Let the handsome pups ENJOY!!!

Happy Birthday, Baxter!!!

My baby boy turned one year old (or I guess really seven years old) today!
Here he was as a baby. Baxter is the one in the middle, resting his head on his sister. He still loves to rest his head like that everywhere!
This was his first night home. Poor thing was scared to death. He cried all night long!
Which made for lots of rest the next day.
And since he came home in February, we tried to keep him warm in his winter coat, but Baxter did not like this coat very much and would fall right over as it was a bit to heavy for him.
And now my little boy has grown up (but his playful pup mannerisms are still sticking!).
I think he's working on his tan here. He loves the sun as much as his mom and finds all the warm sunny spots at the beach!
Boy, did he need a spa treatment in this picture! Good thing I took him for a nice cut today and he got to pick out a yummy cupcake to celebrate his special day. I wish I had taken a picture, but the little thing scarfed it up before I could get my camera out of the case!

Happy Birthday, Baxter!
Here's to many more years of lots of licks!
XOXO

Our Crazy Lil' Bunny Rabbit

We have our very own Easter Bunny this year!

We swear our little Baxter is part rabbit. He hops around instead of running...its quite entertaining! We bought him a little "coat" for the cold Maryland days, however, Baxter is clearly not a fan, but I thought it was so funny, I just had to share! It must be too heavy for him, as he walks backwards in it!

Speeding Up!

So, to bring you up to speed, we have been quite busy since our September wedding. I started a new job, which I am already loving! At first I was nervous leaving the job where I was in my comfort zone with a great group of girls who had become wonderful friends. But, I love where I am now too, and although no one can replace the girls at my previous job, I have meet a bunch of new wonderful people already and am really enjoying my job! In Febuary we also bought a little puppy. Baxter is such a joy to have in our home! He makes us laugh and smile! We cannot wait until he gets the rest of his vaccines in a couple of weeks so he can run around outside and enjoy all the beautiful weather we are having!
